Fermenting
The yeast is added when the beer is in the fermenter. A reading of the gravity of the beer is taken before the fermentation starts. It usually takes about 3 days for the beer to ferment. When the beer has fermented out the coolers are turned on to stop the fermentation. The coolers are left on for 4 days to condition the beer and to drop most of the yeast to the bottom of the fermenter.
