Old Bear Brewery started brewing at the Old White Bear pub in Cross Hills in 1993. The brewery was moved in January 2005 to bigger larger premises near the centre of Keighley to enable us to increase production and add new beers to our range.

Since moving we have created three new beers, Bruin a dark mild, Estivator a pale refreshing ale and Black Mari'a a stout, all three of which are very popular additions. With 7 beers in our range there is one to suit almost every palate – and one for every day of the week!

We are a 10 barrel plant but also have a 1 barrel set up for making one-off specials for our customers. We only use Yorkshire malt and whole hops to give that true northern real ale flavour to our beers.

During 2006 we started bottling our beers which are available at a number of off-licenses in the area or direct from ourselves.

In 2008 we acquired a bottling plant which operates from our premises on Pitt Street enabling us to bottle our own beers giving us total control over the quality of our product from brewing to distribution.

We have a recycling programme which enables us to reuse and recycle bottles which otherwise would go to landfill.  We do this by collecting bottles from local pubs and clubs.

For more details on our range of beers click on the Our Beers and Our Shop link at the left side of the screen.

If you require information on our recycling programme or if you require any bottling of your beers please contact our newly launched company Bottle Rescue at info@bottlerescue.co.uk.
